Undesirable New Indian Parliament Building Controversy.
Indian opposition lawmakers doesn't need a valid reason for pulling down the Gov't any move how much valid it may be. Ongoing new controversy on the newly built parliament is one of them which has anything to do with the common man of the nation. India known for its rich cultural heritage is embroiled in a heated controversy over earlier the construction which citizens didn't paid heed to & now on the inaugaration of the newly parliament building which Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to inaugarate on 28th of this month. While the project aims to modernize the country's political infrastructure the opposition is raising the controversy by asking the project to be inaugarated by President of the country which is beyond the imagination of the common citizens of the land. As a common man belief is that behind the controversy is the growing stature of the Prime Minister day by day both locally and globally.
As is the belief of the opposition that this monument will be encashed by
the Prime Minister as his and his party's achievement that in a certain budget
and period without any allegations of scam or corruption allegations. Ironically on the
contrary A supremo of a particular party who is facing all the legal actions
& questioned by the investigating agencies for his newly built residence
whose budget which some news channels and reports suggesting to be whooping
more than 50 Crore plus is prominent and vocal in sparking the controversy
along with all those who're involved in some or the other scams or out in bail.
Leaving all these aside opposition, which wanna to unite to face the upcoming
parliament elections next year wanna take this as an oppurtunity to come under
a umbrella to combat the cult of Narendra Modi. However Modi will too will be
eager to know the strength of the opposition and will not let this oppurtunity
go in vain because it'll make him know with whom he'll have to combat i.e. a
bunch of political parties or individual parties.
However India's existing parliament building a colonial-era structure has
been struggling to accommodate the growing number of lawmakers and support the
evolving needs of the legislative process. Recognizing the need for a more
spacious and technologically advanced facility the government proposed the
construction of a new parliament building to meet the demands of a modern
democracy. Worth noticing fact is the proposal for the same was brought to the
fore during UPA’s regime which the then Gov’t for some or the reason put the
proposal in pending which eventually was grabbed by the sheer statesman Modi
and his Gov’t.
Opponents of the new parliament building project doesn’t emphasize the
architectural and historical significance of the current structure designed by
British architect Edwin Lutyens, the existing parliament building is a
testament to India's colonial past and has witnessed numerous significant
moments in the country's history. Preservationists argue that the demolition of
this iconic building would result in the loss of an invaluable heritage site
and erode the nation's historical fabric.
Critics of the project to the minimal also raise concerns about the
allocation of funds for the construction of a new parliament building. India
like many countries faces numerous socioeconomic challenges including poverty
alleviation healthcare education and infrastructure development. Detractors
argue that the substantial financial investment required for the new parliament
building could be better utilized to address these pressing issues leading to
accusations of misplaced priorities.
However this worthless controversy is more political now than anything to
do with any other aspects on which the opponents can gain some ground to
confront Modi and the Gov’t which will foster their chances in upcoming
assembly elections & not to overlook 2024 parliament elections.
The debate surrounding the construction of a new parliament building in
India presents a complex challenge & pitting modernization. As the nation
strives for progress, it must navigate this controversy with careful
consideration and sensitivity to its historical legacy. A balanced approach
that incorporates the nation's heritage while embracing the needs of a modern
democracy is crucial to ensure the preservation of India's rich cultural &
political tapestry. Through inclusive dialogue and transparent decision-making
processes, India can navigate this controversy and set an example for the
delicate equilibrium between development, equilibrium & political consensus.
