Dhoni & CSK Shines again! Truly made for each other.
Regaining the IPL trophy once again for the 5th time in IPL history both Dhoni & CSK (Chennai Super Kings) outshines the endeavor of the rest of the teams in the tournament. The final was washed away yesterday by a heavy shower in Narendra Modi stadium, Ahmedabad, and scheduled for today is won by none other than CSK & It's mentor and captain cool MSD i.e. Mahendra Singh Dhoni The spectators made the most of their match tickets as the game was such a nail-biting thriller as one could have never imagined.
CSK won the toss and choose to bowl 1st which
could have been a disastrous decision as the Gujarat Titan batters posted a
mammoth total of 214 runs on board in which the top orders batters dominated
the bowling and bowlers with all command. Sai Sudarshan top scorer of the match
put the selectors of the Indian Cricket Board to give thought to his batting
skills while considering the team for the upcoming next tour and tournament.
Also, the rest of the batters including Wriddhimaan Saha who is always side-lined
for some or the other reasons was successful in catching the eyeballs of the
selectors as wicketkeeper/batsman. Rishabh Pant is yet out of the cricket field
and recuperating from his would-have-been fatal injury and part-time
wicketkeeper K.L. Rahul is out of form so the man W.Saha has given his best
shot to consider him in the side for the next upcoming tournament.
Now coming to the Winners, no one can take away
the credit that they really deserve to be the "Champions" of the
tournament. In the innings disrupted by rain and the new target given to them
by the Duckworth Lewis system, the team started milking the bowlers of Gujarat
Titans from the ball one to the last ball bowled of the tournament. In my
lifetime I've witnessed only 2-3 such last-ball victory matches. Sir Ravindra
Jadeja did this in his own "Rajputana Style" taking away the match
and trophy from his own state guy and friend Hardik Pandya the skipper of
Gujarat Titans & also who was eager to add one more feather to his cap by winning
the title second time in the row.
As is the game and spirit of sport a side wins
and the other loses but after the game, it's always the sportsmanship &
game which prevails. This IPL tournament 2023 gave selectors of BCCI some more
players choices as batters and bowlers to take into their consideration for
upcoming tournaments. The same is with the overseas players and their boards.
Let's conclude and give special thanks to all the
teams and their players, non-playing staff, and supporters who made the IPL
2023 such a grand success and A very special goodbye and best wishes to the man
who hanged his boots forever i.e. Ambati Rayadu who in the last inning of his
career played a major role in anchoring his winning team to the trophy. IPL
& Indian cricket will always remember you for your services to the game of
Gentlemen, Mr. A.Rayadu.
